Role summary
Infotek Consulting Inc. is looking for a Data Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to join a hybrid team in Toronto, Ontario. This contract role runs for 4 months through October 2026 and has a strong chance of being extended. The interview process is expected to include 2 to 3 rounds, held virtually and/or in person.
What you will do
This position blends data analysis, database development, regulatory monitoring, and coordination with stakeholders and vendors. The selected candidate will help advance data modernization efforts, support regulatory reporting and monitoring workflows, and convert Excel-based processes into more structured database solutions.
Core responsibilities
- Analyze and transform data using Python and SQL for reporting and operational needs.
- Work with large datasets, including validation and quality checks.
- Contribute to database development and improvements to data workflows.
- Support regulatory reporting, monitoring, and compliance-related activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and external vendors or data providers as needed.
- Help move spreadsheet-driven processes into database-based environments.
Required background
The ideal candidate should bring strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL, along with a solid background in data analysis and reporting. Experience in financial services environments, especially work tied to regulatory compliance, risk reporting, auditing, or monitoring, is highly valued. Familiarity with Teradata and Excel is also expected.
Preferred experience and tools
- Exposure to OSFI-related regulatory work.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Background in vendor coordination or third-party data management.
