About the Role
Mohawk Industries is seeking a cutter for the third shift in Dalton, Georgia. This position is part of a global flooring manufacturing organization focused on improving customer outcomes, streamlining processes, advancing sustainable production, and creating growth opportunities for employees.
Mohawk is known for its portfolio of well-established flooring brands and its broad manufacturing and distribution network serving residential and commercial markets around the world.
Key Duties
- Operate four distinct cone-cutting machine types.
- Process more than 5,000 cones each shift, handling cones weighing between 2 and 20 pounds.
- Remain on your feet for at least 8 hours during the shift.
- Keep your work area organized and support housekeeping tasks across the cut group.
- Clean the inside of triple cutters and conveyors.
- Watch cone color during cutting to help preserve pad quality.
- Break down Gaylord boxes.
- Sort cardboard cones from plastic cones for recycling.
