Civil Site Engineer

Role overview

This position is for a Site Engineer in a Chennai-based, site-focused construction environment. The role suits candidates with civil engineering training and hands-on exposure to basic site activities.

Qualification

Candidates should hold a Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

Applicants should have 2 to 5 years of experience, with basic site experience being essential. A minimum of 1 year of site experience is preferred.

Working schedule

The regular shift is from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, subject to site requirements. Sunday is the weekly off.

Work location

This is a site-based role in Chennai, India.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site activities and track the pace of work.
• Work closely with labour teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
• Confirm that construction work follows approved drawings and plans.
• Inspect materials delivered to site and prepare site-related updates.
• Record daily progress and maintain routine progress reports.
• Coordinate with senior engineers and the project manager on execution matters.
• Support adherence to safety standards and safe working practices at the site.
