Civil Engineer

Job Overview

Swan Global is looking for a seasoned Civil Engineer to work in Dukhan, Qatar. This position is best suited for someone with a solid civil engineering background in the Oil & Gas industry, with prior exposure to Qatar Energy projects preferred. The role involves handling design activities, project planning, and supervision of construction work while maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design and planning stages for civil engineering assignments.
• Monitor work at site to ensure construction quality, safety practices, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables to keep work on track.
• Draft, assess, and maintain technical reports, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Guide and support technical staff through the project lifecycle.
• Make sure all activities follow local regulations and internal safety requirements, including PTW procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have at least 6 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Previous work in Qatar Energy or within the Oil & Gas sector is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) processes is necessary.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills are expected.

Technical Skills & Certifications

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to use Civil 3D effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience using project management software.
• Familiarity with Qatar Energy standards is highly desirable.
