Position Overview
Vallencourt Construction Co., Inc. is hiring immediately for a CAD Technician in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Key Duties
- Prepare precise fabrication drawings, layouts, and assembly documents with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Review architectural, structural, and mechanical plans along with project specifications to understand drawing requirements.
- Update and keep drawings current, with close attention to correct dimensions, material details, and fabrication information.
- Work with project managers, QA staff, and shop team members to manage drawing revisions and support production requirements.
- Keep drawing records well organized, including file management and revision tracking.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of drafting experience is needed.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
- Should have strong accuracy, attention to detail, and good organizational habits.
- Needs effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills, including working with dimensions and tolerances, are necessary.
- Must be comfortable handling multiple tasks in a busy, fast-moving work environment.
