Role Overview
This position is for a highly driven Sales Development Representative (SDR/BDR) to join the Australia team. The core focus is outbound prospecting, cold calling, and creating qualified opportunities for the enterprise sales organization. The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne depending on the selected candidate’s location.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Sales and Marketing to identify, reach out to, and engage prospective enterprise accounts. This is a full-time role that reports to the BDR manager and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the RVP. The environment is fast-moving and suited to someone who is resilient, inquisitive, disciplined, and motivated to consistently outperform targets.
Responsibilities
- Run high-volume outbound outreach using calls, email, and social selling to create new opportunities.
- Identify target organizations and research the right decision-makers inside them.
- Speak with prospects to understand their challenges, qualify needs, and determine where Denodo can add value.
- Present the Denodo offering clearly and introduce the platform effectively to potential customers.
- Develop persuasive outreach copy and email sequences that encourage response and engagement.
- Arrange discovery meetings and qualified conversations for the enterprise sales team.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to improve campaign performance, messaging, and qualification practices.
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date, including activity tracking in Salesforce.
- Consistently deliver against activity goals and pipeline creation targets.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Inside Sales, or telemarketing, ideally in enterprise software, SaaS, or high-tech environments.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proven ability in cold calling, outbound prospecting, and lead generation.
- Strong telephone presence and confidence in handling objections.
- Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to senior executives.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Goal-oriented mindset with strong resilience and motivation to exceed targets.
- Good listening ability and a talent for uncovering customer pain points.
- Comfort using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools.
- Ability to adapt quickly, think fast, and perform well in a busy sales setting.
- Advantageous experience in prospecting or selling into enterprise IT, data, or cloud-focused environments.
- Exposure to social selling tools and employee advocacy methods is a plus.
- Working knowledge of enterprise data architecture or information infrastructure is beneficial.
