Role Overview

This role is focused on driving mortgage and commercial real estate (CRE) business growth in Lucknow by building strong market relationships, sourcing secured debt opportunities, and supporting end-to-end deal execution in line with the organization’s risk framework.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and manage relationships that help acquire customers for mortgage and CRE business expansion.
  • Execute business plans that support the wider NBFC strategy and align them with mortgage business objectives.
  • Develop strong connections with syndication desks and DCM teams at banks and NBFCs to source secured debt transactions.
  • Work with leasing teams and DCM teams within IPCs to source LRD opportunities and generate debt proposals.
  • Create partnerships with important real estate ecosystem players such as PE firms, advisory companies, consultancies, banks, other NBFCs, consultants, ex-bankers, and related professionals.
  • Assess high-potential business segments and evaluate opportunities within group companies.
  • Collaborate with banks and NBFCs for risk participation and market intelligence.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling of group financial products to strengthen value propositions, including home loan opportunities that can scale through this channel.
  • Structure transactions so they meet internal risk norms while also addressing customer needs.
  • Understand the risk considerations tied to projects and developers.
  • Build and manage a credit team that understands ABFL risk parameters and market dynamics.
  • Work with risk and operations teams to create efficient, customer-friendly loan approval and booking workflows, and suggest process or technology improvements where needed.
  • Ensure strict compliance with risk, compliance, and legal requirements.
  • Support the adoption of ABFL credit risk strategy and make sure proposals include the right credit risk controls.
  • Partner with central risk teams to identify exposures, build mitigation processes, and establish performance tracking and documented procedures.
  • Maintain asset quality across CRE loans, keep NPAs low, and monitor delinquencies closely.
  • Review sales targets regularly with the sales team to ensure goals for volumes, yields, customer counts, cross-selling, and channel-led business are achieved.
  • Stay aware of local market developments and use that understanding to make timely business decisions.
