Bilingual Payroll Specialist

Role overview

A well-established organization in the health and wellness distribution sector is looking for a bilingual payroll specialist to join its People & Culture function in a standalone capacity. This position gives one person complete responsibility for payroll across about 200 employees working in several Canadian provinces.

What the role involves

• Running end-to-end payroll every two weeks for roughly 200 employees.
• Keeping payroll data current for onboarding changes, employee exits, and deduction updates.
• Preparing and filing required statutory documents and remittances, including T4, T4A, ROEs, RL-1s, WSIB/WCB, and related payments.
• Making sure payroll practices stay aligned with Canadian legislation across multiple provinces.
• Supporting month-end reporting and account reconciliations.
• Offering backup support to a connected division when needed.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant brings solid payroll experience, understands Canadian payroll rules well, and can work accurately in a deadline-driven environment. Experience with PayWorks or a similar platform is preferred, and French fluency is mandatory for this position.
