Role Overview

The bartender role at Anantara World Islands Dubai is centered on delivering high-quality beverage service, maintaining exceptional presentation and cleanliness, and supporting a smooth and professional guest experience. The position also requires careful adherence to beverage procedures, efficient order handling, and a strong sense of responsibility for the bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guest service in line with the hotel’s standards for beverage quality, presentation, sanitation, and professional conduct.
• Represent the brand with strong hospitality, courtesy, and professionalism in all guest interactions.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, service quality, and cleanliness in both personal grooming and the assigned bar area.
• Follow the Beverage Department’s standard operating procedures and actively suggest ways to improve them.
• Prepare the bar for service at opening by stocking liquor, ice, glassware, juices, and garnishes.
• Take drink orders in the correct sequence, confirm the number of drinks ordered, and handle billing accurately and efficiently.
• Mix cocktails according to the standard beverage manual, using the prescribed measurements and methods.
• Receive liquor deliveries and verify them against the previous shift’s requisitions, escalating any mismatch to the Bar Supervisor.
• Help maintain safety and control in the work area and never leave the bar unattended unless properly handed over to another team member.
• Support closing and housekeeping tasks such as mopping floors, clearing cans and bottles, cleaning counters and rails, and removing melting ice from bins.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in food and beverage or restaurant operations.
• Strong commitment to excellent guest service.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good spoken English.
