Overview

This role sits within the Hotels business at MakeMyTrip and is based in Gurugram. The position reports to the Senior Manager - Training and is focused on strengthening capability across internal teams and partner networks through learning, communication, and content-led enablement.

The Hotels business is a major and rapidly expanding part of the organization, with more than 70,000 contracted properties across domestic and international destinations. It covers a wide spectrum of stays, from economical accommodations to premium and experiential hotel offerings, and serves millions of customers annually. The Training function acts as a key support layer for scale and execution by improving product understanding, process quality, service standards, and platform adoption across the ecosystem.

Role Summary

The role is responsible for managing training end to end while also developing communication and learning content for the Hotels business. It blends learning and development, content creation, and marketing communication to support both internal teams and partner-facing stakeholders.

The position requires creating structured learning interventions, delivering engaging training programs, and producing clear, effective communication assets that help translate business priorities into consistent execution and stronger outcomes.

Training Program Design and Delivery

  • Build and run structured capability-building programs, role-specific sessions, refresher modules, and ongoing learning interventions aligned with changing business priorities.
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, and hybrid sessions for internal and external audiences, ensuring the sessions are interactive, clear, and impactful.
  • Monitor learning outcomes through feedback, assessments, and performance indicators, then use the insights to improve future programs.

Content and Communication Development

  • Create high-quality learning materials such as presentations, facilitator notes, videos, e-learning content, promotional videos, and job aids that make knowledge transfer easier.
  • Develop partner communication assets including emails, flyers, banners, videos, and digital creatives aligned to business goals.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel communication campaigns that support product launches and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare learning communication materials such as newsletters, launch decks, mailers, FAQs, videos, and playbooks to reinforce training and adoption.

Engagement and Collaboration

  • Manage internal or external learning communities and social platforms to encourage engagement, ongoing learning, and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with business, sales, operations, product, and HR teams to identify skill gaps and design targeted enablement solutions.
  • Bring together creative thinking and structured execution to deliver learning solutions that are practical and scalable.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A management graduate from a reputed institute with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in training, learning and development, content creation, or communication.
  • Prior exposure to sales, operations, partner enablement, or capability-building environments is preferred.
  • Experience in e-commerce, internet, FMCG, hospitality, or other service-led businesses will be an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and audience-appropriate content.
  • Hands-on experience with content creation tools, presentation software, and digital learning platforms.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital content practices is preferred.
