Overview
Tecton Architects is looking for an imaginative, inquisitive, and motivated Architectural Designer / Project Architect to join its Providence studio. This is a full-time hybrid role, allowing a mix of studio-based and remote work. The team combines the close collaboration of a smaller office with the backing, mentorship, and stability of a 50-person practice.
The firm is interested in emerging professionals with 3–6+ years of experience who are excited by purposeful design and want to contribute to work that benefits communities.
What the Role Involves
- Supporting projects through all phases, from initial concept development to construction closeout.
- Working with the team on design development, project documentation, and construction administration.
- Building BIM models, preparing diagrams, and developing design presentations.
- Generating and refining design ideas that respond to each client’s objectives and project setting.
- Adding your own design perspective while learning from seasoned architects and team leads.
What the Employer Is Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Architecture is mandatory.
- 3–6+ years of professional experience in a relevant setting.
- A strong design eye, along with a portfolio that shows creative thinking and clear visual communication.
- Solid Revit skills, including at least 2 years of academic or professional use; advanced proficiency is an advantage.
- Exposure to sustainability concepts or credentials such as LEED or WELL.
