Role Overview
This position is for an accountant based in Kolkata, with the workplace located in Salt Lake. The role centers on day-to-day bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and reporting support.
Core Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions in Tally and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Handle GST return preparation, filing, reconciliation, and related compliance activities.
- Carry out TDS deduction, payment, and return filing tasks.
- Support work related to direct taxation and indirect taxation.
- Prepare MIS reports for internal review and analysis.
- Use advanced Excel tools for data handling and analysis.
Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate should have a background in commerce, specifically B.Com.
- Hands-on familiarity with Tally, GST, TDS, direct tax, and indirect tax processes is expected.
- Strong Excel capability, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and IF formulas, is important for this role.
