Role overview

The Account Manager is responsible for a portfolio of up to 150 accounts and owns the outcomes tied to retention, revenue expansion, and quota achievement. This is a relationship-led position in which you will represent the company to clients, strengthen trust, and uncover opportunities to grow existing accounts.

You will manage the customer journey across onboarding transitions, renewals, and business reviews, while also driving upsell and cross-sell activity. Success in this role depends on balancing commercial focus with a strong customer-first approach. You will also work closely with Support, Training, Marketing, Services, and Product to help clients adopt the platform, stay engaged, and realize ongoing value.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of a defined account portfolio and deliver on retention, expansion, and quota goals, including upsell and cross-sell targets.
  • Spot and pursue growth opportunities within current customers through discovery conversations, consultative selling, and solution-based positioning.
  • Run the renewal process from start to finish, including forecasting, negotiation, and closing within target timelines.
  • Act as the main contact for assigned clients and build credibility across several levels of each organization.
  • Hold regular reviews to evaluate account health, customer satisfaction, and future growth potential.
  • Create and execute account plans that connect client goals with expansion opportunities.
  • Lead business reviews that clearly show value delivered and help move growth discussions forward.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date, including pipeline, opportunities, and account information, and share dependable forecasts with leadership.
  • Work with Customer Solutions to ensure clients are fully adopted and benefiting from the platform.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales on campaigns and initiatives aimed at existing customers.
