Bengali Transcription QC & Language Internship

About the internship

This remote internship is for candidates with strong Bengali language ability and a keen eye for quality. The role focuses on transcription quality control, audio validation, annotation review, and language assurance. Selected interns will check Bengali transcripts against the source audio and help ensure the output matches client standards.

What you'll do

• Compare Bengali transcription files with the original audio and verify the text against what is actually spoken.
• Spot and flag issues in spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, timestamps, and speaker labels.
• Identify missing content, incorrect wording, segmentation problems, and any departures from project instructions.
• Make corrections where needed to improve accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.
• Carry out audio QC checks and confirm that the transcription is complete.
• Review annotation work and detect problems in labeling or guideline compliance.
• Keep organized records of edits, findings, and quality reports.
• Work with internal teams on revisions and client feedback.
• Take part in review cycles and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Protect the confidentiality of client audio files and project-related data.
• Finish assigned QC tasks within the required deadlines.

Who can apply

Applicants must be available for a work-from-home internship, able to begin between 1 July 2026 and 5 August 2026, and available for a 2-month duration. Candidates should have relevant skills and genuine interest in the work. Preference is given to Computer Science Engineering students. A laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection is also expected.

Requirements

• Strong command of Bengali, including reading, writing, listening, and comprehension.
• Prior exposure to Bengali transcription QC, annotation QC, proofreading, editing, or language review is preferred.
• Good understanding of Bengali grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to check audio carefully.
• Comfort with data annotation and content review tasks.
• High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines.
• Good time management and responsibility in handling assigned work.
• Native or fluent Bengali speakers will be preferred.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
• Access to a laptop/desktop and a stable internet connection.

Additional information
