Visual Communications Specialist

Role overview

Qatar Airways is looking for a Visual Communications Specialist to join its Product Development and Design team in Doha. The role focuses on turning intricate business information, product plans, and conceptual thinking into clear visual stories that support leadership decisions and cross-functional alignment.

The team works on developing innovative inflight products, improving passenger comfort, and advancing aviation design from early concepts through launch. This position is suited to someone who enjoys blending design, business understanding, and analytical thinking to communicate ideas with impact.

What you will do

• Design polished presentations for leadership meetings, strategic reviews, executive updates, and roadmap discussions.
• Convert abstract ideas, customer feedback, and product strategies into slide narratives that are easy to follow and visually engaging.
• Keep all materials consistent with the brand, including layout, formatting, and visual style.
• Create custom icons, charts, diagrams, data visuals, annotated mockups, and other visual aids that improve clarity and support decision-making.
• Turn rough inputs such as notes, sketches, market research, business cases, and insights into structured presentation content.
• Work closely with Strategy, Research & Insights, Business Analysis, product, design, and operations teams to gather inputs and align messaging.
• Help develop business cases, financial summaries, and customer insight decks into concise executive-ready visuals.
• Simplify complex subjects such as market trends, customer data, ROI models, and benchmark findings into accessible formats.
• Handle several presentation and design assignments at the same time while meeting demanding deadlines.
• Maintain a high level of visual quality suitable for senior stakeholders and leadership audiences.
• Use strong design principles to create hierarchy and guide attention effectively.
• Contribute to better storytelling practices, presentation workflows, and visual communication standards within the department.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

What they are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Design, Business, or a similar discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in presentation design, visual storytelling, business communication, or data-led content design.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating executive-level presentations and business insights presented visually.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma at intermediate to advanced level.
• Strong analytical ability to understand business challenges, research findings, and product data, and turn them into meaningful narratives.
• Experience with data visuals and dashboards using PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to senior leaders.
