Video Data Annotator

Role Overview

We are looking for a remote video annotation contractor to help label short video clips by identifying recurring events and documenting them accurately. This role supports high-quality data creation for structured video analysis tasks.

Compensation and Schedule

The pay rate for this contractor role is $65 to $80 per hour. Time commitment is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week. This position is available to candidates based in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.

What You Will Do

• Spot repeating events in short video segments and mark them according to the project rules.
• Record precise start and end timestamps for every event you identify.
• Write short, clear, and consistent summaries for each annotated event.
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy and consistency across all submitted annotations.
• Work with team members through written and spoken communication to resolve questions and clear up uncertainties.
• Check your own work and update annotations as project instructions evolve.

What We’re Looking For

• Native-level English fluency, both in writing and speaking, is needed for annotation quality and communication.
• Prior experience in video annotation, content moderation, writing, video editing, videography, or similar work is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accurate data labeling are essential.
• You should be able to handle detailed annotation guidelines and adapt quickly when feedback is provided.
• Experience with AI training work or machine learning data annotation is a strong advantage.
