About WMX

The team works where creativity meets commerce, building products and experiences that support artist vision while helping grow revenue for clients. WMX operates with a collaborative, ownership-driven, and curious mindset.
Role Overview
The Vice President, Operations will lead the operational foundation for WMX, ensuring that teams, systems, and workflows can scale effectively while staying adaptable, creative, and focused on artists. The role turns strategy into day-to-day execution across merchandise production, ecommerce operations and marketing, touring merchandise and VIP, retail and licensing operations, fulfillment, and worldwide logistics.
This position also serves as a central connector across WMX, finance, label teams, global marketing, other Warner Music Group stakeholders, and outside vendors or service providers, with a focus on improving communication and operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and continuously improve the operational roadmap for WMX, balancing speed, efficiency, and quality.
- Lead the creation, rollout, and refinement of operational SOPs covering production workflows, inventory control, ecommerce processes, fulfillment, customer support, and licensing activity.
- Design clear communication channels and working rhythms across WMX, labels, global marketing, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Develop scalable operating processes that can support international growth and complicated artist campaigns.
- Spot operational risks, delays, and inefficiencies early and implement practical solutions.
- Create KPI structures, reporting systems, and accountability measures for the operations function.
- Work closely with finance and legal teams on forecasting, budgeting, contracts, and compliance matters.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has experience working with artist management companies and/or record labels, along with strong hands-on knowledge of operations systems, finance systems, and the daily running of a merchandise or direct-to-consumer business. They should be comfortable adopting new technologies independently and applying them in a scalable way.
The role also calls for strong collaboration skills across creative, social, ecommerce, and operations teams, along with the ability to bring order to complex cross-functional environments. A successful candidate will be analytical, structured, and growth-minded, while still understanding the creative side of the business.
Preferred Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience in operations or a closely related field.
- Experience supporting or leading ERP software evaluation, deployment, and integration across finance, inventory, and ecommerce functions.
- Solid background in financial and operational forecasting, including partnership with finance on budgets, margins, and inventory planning.
- Experience managing global supply chains, logistics, and international distribution at scale.
- Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms and marketing operations, including the operational impact of campaigns, CRM, and website performance.
