ملازمت کی تفصیل
Overview
Home Group is hiring a Support Coordinator for a permanent, full-time position based in Southend-on-Sea, England. The role is set at 37.5 hours per week and is not eligible for sponsorship, as a Certificate of Sponsorship cannot be provided.
This opportunity is centered on supporting people with complex needs and lived experience of homelessness to move toward greater independence. The work is varied, people-focused, and includes helping customers manage daily challenges while also progressing toward longer-term goals.
About the Role
You will be part of a supportive team that works closely with people in a 1-2-1 setting. The post is based at an 11-bed project in Southend-on-Sea, near the town centre, and although there may be occasional lone working, the service usually operates as a small team.
Key Duties
- Take the lead on person-centred support planning for customers in a supported housing service for ex-offenders who are at risk of homelessness.
- Manage a varied workload that combines support delivery, safeguarding, administration, meetings, and caseload management.
- Support customers with recovery, maintaining their homes, budgeting, attending appointments, and addressing offending behaviour.
- Work alongside partner organisations to support, safeguard, and empower customers.
- Help customers strengthen their independence and prepare for move-on into the wider community.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a genuine commitment to supporting others in a homeless or supported housing environment. A positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to stay calm when things are demanding are all important. Interest or experience in assessing referrals and coordinating support would be valuable, along with an approach that reflects the organisation’s values.
Working Pattern and Practical Details
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with rota weekends included. Weekend shifts run Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm and attract time off in lieu. There are also later shifts from 10:30am to 7:00pm.
An Enhanced DBS check with barred list is required, and this cost is covered by the employer.
Pay and Benefits
The role offers an annual salary of £27,500, which works out at £14.06 per hour. In addition, the package includes 34 days of leave each year, increasing to 39 days, along with a health cash plan valued at over £1,140.
Additional benefits include a matching pension contribution of up to 7%, life insurance worth 3 times basic salary, instant pay access through Stream, and access to more than 800 discounts across retail, travel, leisure, technology, and more.
Culture and Values
Home Group describes itself as a place where colleagues are supported and valued, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, inclusion, and diversity. The organisation also highlights learning and development opportunities and a collaborative working culture.
