Role Summary

The Steward supports kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and basic back-of-house operations. The position plays a key part in keeping equipment, work areas, and storage spaces orderly, safe, and ready for daily service.

Key Duties

• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, cookware, pots, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness across the kitchen, storage spaces, and assigned workstations.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling in the correct manner.
• Help accept, receive, and store incoming deliveries.
• Provide basic support to chefs and other kitchen team members when required.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Flag damaged tools, equipment faults, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate team.

Qualifications

The preferred background includes a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification. Prior experience in a hotel or restaurant can be helpful, though it is not mandatory. Candidates should be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment and be able to collaborate effectively with others.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
