Sr. Agent, Supply Chain Operations

Role overview

This position focuses on frontline supply chain operations and combines administrative as well as operational work. The role may involve data handling, ramp coordination, sorting, tracing, dispatch support, and local customer service.

Key duties

You will be expected to carry out established procedures carefully and completely, meet deadlines, and work with either manual steps or local/regional systems. The job also requires checking data against set criteria, using the right tools and equipment, and making procedural decisions when the outcome is not immediately obvious. When needed, you will consult senior colleagues and contribute ideas for improving processes.

The role includes investigating issues and exception cases through systems or equipment, supporting resolutions across the department and other teams, and escalating matters when they fall outside defined guidelines. You may also help implement corrective actions.

Communication is an important part of the job: you will exchange information with customers, teammates, and other departments, support process changes, help create job aids and training materials, and may deliver training based on defined standards.

Accurate reporting is another core responsibility. This includes validating or preparing reports, gathering and analyzing data, entering information into company systems, and maintaining strong data quality and system integrity.

You will also need to stay aligned with FedEx processes, internal procedures, applicable laws, external regulations, and agreement requirements, while ensuring approvals are obtained where necessary and reporting any compliance concerns to management.

Teamwork is essential, as you will work closely with colleagues and other departments, and may also interact with customers, vendors, or employees to investigate and resolve issues and secure agreement on actions.
