Role Overview
D2L is seeking Software Developers who graduated in 2025 and are ready to contribute to technology that supports teaching and learning at global scale. The products used by millions every day require developers who can work across a broad set of technical areas, including distributed systems, automated testing, user interfaces, mobile development, and cloud computing.
As part of the engineering team, you will work closely with technical product managers, designers, and test developers to build effective solutions and help ensure the right products are delivered.
Responsibilities
- Break down complex problems and translate them into practical technical approaches.
- Develop software across areas such as distributed systems, test automation, interfaces, mobile platforms, and cloud services.
- Write clean, object-oriented code using languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and test developers to shape and improve solutions.
- Contribute ideas and technical insight to help the team build the right products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, completed in 2025.
- Strong grasp of core computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, databases, and distributed systems.
- Solid object-oriented design knowledge and coding ability in C++, C#, or Java.
- Prior software development experience, ideally in a technology-focused company.
- Comfort using artificial intelligence tools effectively in a professional setting.
- Ability to analyze problems and propose technical solutions.
Work Arrangement
This position follows a hybrid model with an expectation of three days per week in the office in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected annual base salary range for this role is CAD 75,000 to CAD 85,000. Final pay will depend on each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training, and experience, and will be aligned with internal and external market competitiveness for the location and industry.
This role may also be eligible for additional benefits and compensation elements such as a wellness subsidy, equity grants, variable incentive pay, and more.
