Site Project Manager

Role overview

The Site Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, supervision, and delivery of water treatment and infrastructure works in Abu Dhabi. This position is responsible for keeping the site running efficiently, aligning resources, and ensuring the job is completed to the required technical, quality, safety, schedule, and budget standards.

Core duties

• Direct and monitor all on-site operations connected to installation, fabrication, welding, testing, and commissioning of water treatment systems and related infrastructure.
• Structure the work plan, coordinate execution, and keep the project moving toward timely completion in line with specifications.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet milestones and sustain productivity.
• Check drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents to confirm compliance with client expectations and relevant regulations.
• Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams so that materials, equipment, and manpower are available when needed.
• Track progress, schedules, and resource use, then take corrective action whenever performance slips.
• Run regular coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Ensure adherence to QMS, HSE, and ISO requirements at all times.
• Spot project risks early and apply mitigation measures to reduce delays and cost impact.
• Oversee inspections, testing, authority approvals, and handover records.
• Examine and sign off daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates prepared by site engineers and supervisors.
• Support cost control, budgeting, variation analysis, and claims-related documentation.
• Maintain compliance with UAE labor regulations, company rules, and contract commitments.
• Address technical and operational issues quickly to keep work uninterrupted and protect client satisfaction.
• Carry out site surveys and recommend design enhancements, value engineering ideas, and process improvements.

Technical and professional profile

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of fabrication work, welding methods such as TIG and ARC, piping systems, and mechanical installation activities. Practical familiarity with SS316L, Duplex 2205, HDPE, PVC, and similar industrial piping materials is important. Working knowledge of ASME, ASTM, ISO, and applicable UAE standards is also required. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and engineering documentation is preferred for this role.

Success measures

Performance will be evaluated based on completion of projects within approved timelines and budgets, compliance with technical and safety standards, effective management of manpower and subcontractors, client satisfaction, accurate reporting, achievement of milestones and handover targets, and maintaining zero major HSE violations.
