Shift Lead

Overview

B&Q is looking for a Shift Lead to support day-to-day store operations at the Bridge of Don location in Banchory, Scotland. This is a full-time role of 36.75 hours per week on a permanent contract. The position offers a salary of £28,225.47 per year, along with pension contributions and 6.6 weeks of holiday.

This is a keyholder role, and the shift pattern can begin as early as 5:00 AM or finish as late as 10:00 PM.

The business focuses on helping customers build homes they love by giving them the ideas, guidance, tools, and confidence to do so. As Shift Lead, you will play an important part in delivering that experience.

Role

In this position, you will help create a safe environment for both customers and colleagues while keeping store operations running smoothly throughout your shift. You will set the tone for the team, support great service, and help ensure the store is a place people enjoy working in and shopping in.

Key duties

• Act as the central point of activity during the shift and keep daily operations moving efficiently.
• Ensure team members are positioned effectively so customer needs are met across the store.
• Serve as the main contact for both customers and colleagues during your shift.
• Maintain a safe store environment at all times.
