Overview
McGraw Hill is an education technology organization with a global footprint, delivering everything from print-based learning materials to modern digital products that help improve learning results. To expand its technology capabilities, the company is looking for a ServiceNow Developer based in India to work remotely and strengthen the ServiceNow environment that supports core business operations.
Role Summary
In this position, you will shape, build, and refine ServiceNow solutions that make IT services more efficient and improve the overall experience for users. You will partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to convert business needs into reliable, scalable workflows and platform features that support smooth service delivery and strong operational performance.
What You Will Do
- Create, configure, and roll out ServiceNow solutions and modules that match business goals and operational needs.
- Engage with stakeholders to collect requirements, participate in design sessions, assist with UAT, and deliver training support.
- Build and improve the service catalog, workflow/flow automations, and the service portal to enhance the end-user journey.
- Use ServiceNow tools such as business rules, client scripts, and UI policies to develop effective platform solutions.
- Carry out regression testing during upgrades to protect platform stability and performance.
- Handle routine BAU work, including discovery activities, monitoring schedules, and resolving issues or errors.
- Coordinate with server, network, and CMDB teams to broaden discovery coverage across infrastructure and cloud platforms such as Azure, OCI, and AWS.
Required Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience working as a ServiceNow Developer.
- Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
- Practical knowledge of ServiceNow areas including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and ITBM.
- Experience building the service catalog, workflow/flow automations, and service portal or employee center.
- Strong command of JavaScript and exposure to REST API integrations.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Application Developer certification.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Additional Requirement
The role requires flexibility to work with overlap in US business hours in order to support global stakeholders.
