Role Overview

This role is suited to a seasoned performance testing professional with 6+ years of experience in building and running load, stress, and endurance tests that validate scalability and reliability. The position requires strong practical experience with Gatling, along with JMeter and k6, plus the ability to analyze metrics, automate execution, and work closely with engineering and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, build, and run performance test strategies using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, and k6.
• Create and maintain test scripts in languages such as Java and JavaScript.
• Set up distributed test execution, data parameterization, and result review.
• Embed performance tests into CI/CD workflows, including Bitbucket-based pipelines, and automate test execution and reporting.
• Track application and infrastructure indicators such as APM data, logs, and system metrics to pinpoint performance issues and optimization opportunities.
• Review important measures like response time, throughput, and error rate to understand application behavior and trends.
• Prepare detailed test documentation and clear reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work with developers, DevOps, QA, and product teams to define SLAs and performance acceptance criteria.
• Recommend tuning actions or architecture changes based on test findings.
• Build automation frameworks in Java for recurring performance-related tasks.
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery by coordinating closely with development and QA teams.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in performance testing.
• Strong, hands-on expertise with Gatling is mandatory.
• Practical experience with JMeter and k6 for scripting, execution, and analysis.
• Ability to work with CI/CD integration and automated reporting, especially in Bitbucket environments.
• Experience reading and interpreting performance data from tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Grafana.
• Solid analytical ability to identify bottlenecks and explain the impact of test results.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder reporting.
• Background in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
• B.Tech / B.E. in any specialization.
