Senior Accountant

About the Role

GLOMACS Training & Consultancy, an international organization focused on professional training and consulting, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen its expanding global finance function in Dubai.

This position is suited to a finance professional with deep expertise in accounting operations, UAE tax compliance, ERP-based processes, and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the end-to-end accounting process, covering the general ledger, journal postings, account reconciliations, and routine financial reporting.
• Take ownership of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.
• Produce financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintain adherence to UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and related regulatory obligations.
• Compile and review VAT filings, Corporate Tax working papers, and all required backup records.
• Reinforce internal accounting controls and support strong financial governance.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and follow through on audit findings.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial performance analysis.
• Improve accounting workflows through Odoo ERP and support broader system enhancements.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
• At least 10 years of steady accounting experience, including work in a senior-level accounting position.
• Practical exposure to Odoo ERP is preferred; experience with other ERP platforms is also acceptable.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger processes, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and FTA compliance requirements.
• Prior involvement in both internal and external audit coordination is expected.
• Solid command of IFRS.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical ability, communication skills, and organizational discipline are important.
