Overview
An experienced Project Manager is needed for a major, technically demanding assignment in Doha, Qatar. The role offers the chance to contribute to a high-profile project within an international working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the technical and operational delivery of all awarded work orders.
- Hold complete financial and technical responsibility for every assigned work order.
- Represent the organization in discussions and meetings with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate the Works Managers assigned to each work order.
- Make sure all activities comply with HSE, welfare, and quality standards and procedures.
- Track and manage the technical and financial performance of all work orders.
- Identify and plan the resources needed to execute the work orders effectively.
- Contribute to tendering and bidding activities.
- Serve as the primary contact for the client on day-to-day site matters and execution progress.
- Ensure permits are processed and that approved timelines are maintained.
- Support Works Managers in planning, coordinating, and delivering project tasks.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist with design coordination involving consultants and clients.
- Support the preparation of project documentation and handover deliverables such as permits, inspection requests, BOQ, ITP, method statements, and as-built drawings.
- Conduct technical and commercial discussions with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Monitor project KPIs to ensure all requirements are met.
Requirements
- BSc in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering; PMP certification is preferred.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Background in projects valued at no less than QAR 150 million, specifically in a Project Manager role.
- Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and local legal specifications.
- Professional fluency in English.
