Production Engineer – Aluminum & Facade Systems

Role overview

We are hiring an accomplished Production Engineer to oversee an aluminum fabrication workshop in Doha, Qatar. This position calls for deep hands-on experience across architectural aluminum and glazing products, including windows, sliding and folding doors, entrance doors, curtain walls, façade systems, skylights, pergolas, louvers, handrails, and glass partitions. The role centers on planning production, managing workshop operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to a high finish.

What you will do

• Organize, plan, and control the workshop’s day-to-day manufacturing schedule.
• Check shop drawings and fabrication drawings before work begins.
• Oversee cutting, machining, fabrication, assembly, glazing, and final inspection stages.
• Make sure all output follows approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks.
• Work closely with the Technical Design, Procurement, and Installation teams to keep production moving efficiently.
• Track production status, labor deployment, material consumption, and stock levels.
• Drive efficiency improvements, cut down on wastage, and streamline manufacturing methods.
• Ensure workshop machines and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
• Apply quality, health, safety, and housekeeping requirements throughout the workshop.
• Guide, coach, and assess workshop staff.
• Compile production reports and troubleshoot issues affecting output.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, or another relevant engineering field.
• At least 8 years of experience in aluminum and façade fabrication, including a minimum of 3 years in a Production Engineer or comparable leadership position.
• Strong background in aluminum windows, doors, curtain walls, façade systems, pergolas, skylights, glazing systems, and related architectural aluminum products.
• Solid understanding of aluminum profile systems, fabrication methods, glazing work, architectural hardware, and workshop practices.
• Ability to interpret architectural, shop, and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Proven capability in production planning, quality assurance, workshop supervision, and managing manpower.
• Confident leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior exposure to major aluminum systems such as Technal, Schüco, Reynaers, Gulf Extrusions, Qalex, or similar platforms is beneficial.
• GCC work experience is strongly preferred.
