Process Shift Operator

Overview

Indaver is a European leader in sustainable waste management, with operations and facilities across Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Its waste-to-energy site in Meath generates enough power for around 22,000 homes each year. The company is growing and is seeking a driven individual to join the Meath Production Team as a permanent, full-time Process Shift Operator.

In this position, you will be part of a team that independently runs and oversees plant operations.

What you will do

• Work in a safe and compliant manner and help maintain a secure environment for everyone on site.
• Support continuous plant operation so the facility runs at full capacity and stays within licence limits.
• Use the process control system to monitor incineration, flue gas treatment, the steam condensate system, and electricity generation.
• Verify that consumables are received according to scheduled deliveries and required specifications.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including equipment cleaning and lubrication.
• Operate within a team-based shift structure and work with the associated shift allowance.

Experience and qualifications

The role calls for a Leaving Certificate with technical subjects, or an equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the process industry is required, ideally in an environment such as metallurgy, basic materials, power generation, petrochemicals, or mass production, in a comparable role.

Experience with mechanical equipment maintenance is considered an advantage.
