Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a senior cybersecurity architecture professional to support a large multinational technology and manufacturing organisation in Dublin, Ireland. The assignment runs for 6 months with the possibility of renewal and is paid on a daily-rate basis. The role is suited to someone with deep experience in enterprise security architecture, multi-cloud environments, and modern technology landscapes.
You will help shape, deliver, and mature cybersecurity architecture across a complex global IT and business estate, partnering with senior leaders, internal security specialists, and external delivery partners. The position requires someone who can contribute at both strategic and technical levels while ensuring security enables business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Build, refine, and support enterprise cybersecurity architecture and strategic direction.
- Prepare and assess architecture documentation such as ROMs, HLDs, and BRDs.
- Translate business and technical needs into practical security controls.
- Design security solutions for multi-cloud, AI, and operational technology environments.
- Carry out security reviews, uncover weaknesses, and define remediation actions.
- Guide stakeholders on security risk, technology choices, and good practice.
- Create, maintain, and improve security policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Ensure security measures remain effective without undermining user experience or business delivery.
Experience and qualifications
Applicants should bring at least 10 years of experience focused on cybersecurity and large-scale enterprise infrastructure, along with proven work as a cybersecurity architect in sizeable enterprise settings. Strong knowledge is needed across systems and data security, network security, cloud security, firewalls, and enterprise architecture.
Experience with PAM, IAM, application security, and operational technology is also required, together with a strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks, core principles, and established best practices. The role calls for excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and confidence working with senior stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
Candidates must have designed and delivered solutions on an international scale. A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent experience may be accepted. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or TOGAF are considered a strong advantage.
Eligibility and working arrangement
To be considered, candidates must hold EU, EEA, or UK citizenship, or currently possess a valid work visa for Ireland. Sponsorship is not available. The role requires regular attendance at a Dublin city centre office as part of a hybrid working arrangement.
