About the role

This position focuses on making sure customers receive what they need accurately, quickly, and with excellent service. The work is varied, with duties across several areas of the store, so each day can look different. You may be stocking shelves, working on tills, checking stock levels, or picking deliveries, but every task contributes to a smooth customer experience.

The ideal person will bring a positive, can-do approach, a genuine commitment to customer care, and a readiness to go beyond the expected to support shoppers.

Key responsibilities

Your main duty is to pick goods accurately and prepare them for dispatch, using a handheld terminal to match items against orders and notifying the manager of any discrepancies.

You will also check product condition, shelf life, and packaging quality to ensure everything is suitable for delivery.

Another important part of the job is processing deliveries efficiently and to target while maintaining a high level of customer service.

You should remain courteous when dealing with delivery drivers and respond appropriately to questions or complaints, escalating more complex matters to the right person.

What you need

You should have a can-do attitude and be comfortable working to set picking targets.

A strong interest in customer service is essential, along with a willingness to make extra effort for customers.

You must also be punctual, reliable, and professionally presented at all times.
