Operations Executive

Position Summary

This role focuses on managing day-to-day logistics activities and making sure cargo moves smoothly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment workflows from start to finish.
• Support sea freight, road transport, and cross-border operations.
• Work closely with shipping lines, transport partners, and customers.
• Manage customs clearance activities and related procedures.
• Oversee warehouse coordination and movement planning.
• Draft, organize, and maintain shipping-related paperwork.
• Monitor shipment progress and keep clients informed of updates.
• Address and resolve operational challenges as they arise.

Key Competencies

• Good understanding of supply chain operations.
• Practical knowledge of freight forwarding.
• Familiarity with customs processes and warehousing.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to organization.

Minimum Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding within Eastern Africa.
• Working knowledge of local and transit customs procedures.
• Understanding of road networks and transit corridors across East Africa.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Swahili.
• Basic computer literacy.
