Role Overview
This position is part of the production function and involves hands-on work in tissue culture and related vaccine manufacturing activities at the Kadi site. The role requires close coordination across production steps, accurate documentation, and adherence to process and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept pre-incubated eggs for the tissue culture workflow.
- Carry out primary cell culture activities, including inoculation, monitoring for monolayer formation, and harvesting.
- Perform secondary cell culture activities, including inoculation, monitoring of monolayer development, and harvesting.
- Track the incubation of roller bottles and cell culture chambers.
- Prepare culture media and associated reagents as needed.
- Coordinate with the live/inactivated vaccine in-charge for harvest storage and generation activities.
- Handle inactivation steps and record in-process results.
- Operate roller culture equipment.
- Complete BMR entries and reconcile media and harvest quantities.
- Work with autoclave and DHS procedures and operations.
Candidate Profile
- The employer is specifically seeking candidates with an M.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
- Applicants should already be familiar with cell culture and tissue culture operations.
- Knowledge of media preparation, autoclave handling, and DHS operations is required.
