Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Network Administrator position is based in Burlington, NJ. The role centers on keeping the organization’s network and connected systems running securely and efficiently. You will oversee day-to-day network health, assist with technical issues, support internal users, and contribute to improvements across infrastructure and IT operations.
Key Duties
The position includes continuous monitoring of network performance and maintaining reliable connectivity across users and systems. It also involves setting up and managing routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as identifying and fixing network or system faults.
You will handle user access control, support routine maintenance such as updates, backups, and patching, and work with other technical team members on hardware and software rollouts. Documentation of network settings and applying security and uptime best practices are also part of the role. In addition, you will respond to internal support requests and assist with ongoing IT initiatives and enhancements.
Qualifications and Technical Background
Applicants should bring solid capability in network administration and network security, along with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide technical support. Experience in system administration is also important for managing servers, operating systems, and related resources.
Hands-on familiarity with TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi administration, and firewall tools will be valuable. Exposure to monitoring platforms, backup systems, and structured IT documentation is preferred. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and organization are important, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
An associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is preferred, though equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or comparable credentials are an added advantage.
