Land Surveyor

Role overview

A leading engineering contractor in Ireland is looking for a Surveyor to support a major industrial construction project in Leixlip, County Kildare. This position focuses on accurate setting out, checking, and documenting building elements as the project progresses. You will work alongside site management and engineering personnel, using modern surveying tools and digital construction workflows to help deliver the project successfully.

Key responsibilities

• Set out building elements accurately in line with construction drawings.
• Carry out repeated site surveys to confirm the position and accuracy of installations during the build.
• Extract survey data from digital project models and construction records.
• Prepare as-built surveys for completed works.
• Compile daily activity reports covering surveying tasks and finished work.
• Check that installed works meet the required construction tolerances.
• Use 3D laser scanning for reality capture on site.
• Process survey results and generate outputs for the project team.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures while completing surveying duties.

Requirements

• A Level 7 qualification, or an equivalent award, in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
• Between 2 and 3 years of experience in a construction surveying position.
