Junior Accountant

Role overview

A leading investment organisation in Riyadh is hiring a Junior Accountant or recent graduate to join its finance function. The position is aimed at someone who wants to build a lasting career in accounting while contributing to day-to-day finance operations.

What you will do

• Keep the general ledger accurate and updated within the required timelines.
• Prepare journal entries and record them under supervision.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing work.
• Handle bank transfers and payment processing once the necessary approvals are in place.
• Help with bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks when needed.
• Organise and maintain records for accounting documents, transfers, and payments.
• Work with internal teams to gather invoices, approvals, and backup documents.
• Support the preparation of simple financial schedules and reports.
• Follow company procedures, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Applicants should be fresh graduates or have up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Prior internship or cooperative training in accounting or finance is an advantage.
• A strong academic track record or excellent university performance is preferred.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts is needed.
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is required.
• High accuracy and attention to detail are important.
• Good communication and organisational ability are expected.
• The role requires discretion and responsible handling of financial information.
