Inventory Specialist

Role overview

We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Specialist to help maintain accurate stock records and healthy inventory levels across products, equipment, and supplies.

In this role, you will count and reconcile merchandise, prepare product price lists by scanning items with a barcode reader/writer, and review weekly business-end discrepancies or losses so corrective steps can be taken.

Key responsibilities

• Review and improve stock rotation practices to keep inventory moving correctly.
• Keep the warehouse and storage areas organized and properly maintained.
• Train store employees on stocking methods and product dating practices.
• Plan and optimize the use of warehouse space.
• Place replenishment orders when stock needs to be restocked.
• Coordinate with store leadership regarding any inventory-related concerns.
• Partner with management when items are found missing or damaged during a shipment.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
