Role overview

This position is focused on keeping the organization’s IT environment stable, secure, and running efficiently. The administrator will oversee systems, servers, and network-related operations while supporting day-to-day technology needs across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Track the health and performance of servers, networks, and core systems to maintain uptime and reliability.
• Set up, administer, and support operating systems, business applications, and hardware devices.
• Investigate and fix issues affecting servers, networks, and applications as quickly as possible.
• Apply security controls that help safeguard company systems and information from unauthorized access, malware, and other risks.
• Keep systems current by installing updates and patches for security and software improvements.
• Handle user access management, including accounts, permissions, and role-based controls.
• Work with vendors to assess and suggest suitable hardware and software options that fit operational requirements.
• Prepare and maintain records covering system setups, workflows, and administrative procedures.
• Carry out backup planning and disaster recovery activities to protect data integrity and availability.
• Provide hands-on support to employees for IT-related questions and technical problems.
• Stay informed about evolving industry practices and technology trends to strengthen infrastructure and security.

Experience and salary

The role requires 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Compensation is listed at AED 3,000 to AED 3,500 per month. The job is based in JLT, Dubai.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a system administrator or in a comparable IT support role.
• Good working knowledge of operating systems.
• Exposure to virtualization tools, cloud platforms, and networking protocols.
• Ability to use scripting languages for automation and system administration tasks.
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools for systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and safe IT practices.
• Strong analytical ability and a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with colleagues and end users.
