Hygiene Service Technician

Role overview

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, likes having ownership of their day, and would value finishing work early in the afternoon. As a Hygiene Service Technician with Initial Hygiene, part of Rentokil Initial, you will support customers across the Adelaide area and deliver washroom hygiene services with a strong focus on reliability and customer service.

Key duties

• Travel each day to customer locations across Adelaide using the company vehicle assigned to you.
• Start from home or from the depot depending on the day’s route and stock requirements.
• Service washroom hygiene products such as sanitary units, soap dispensers, and air fresheners.
• Visit multiple customer sites during the day, with work that changes from one day to the next.
• Handle stock loading and unloading at the depot at the beginning and end of the shift.
• Keep your vehicle in safe working condition and follow road and safety responsibilities while on duty.
• Check in with your manager at the depot to review the day and prepare for the next one.

Daily workflow

Morning: You will begin by either heading directly to your first customer in company uniform or going to the depot to collect stock and prepare your van. Early starts are common, but they also allow for an earlier finish.

During the day: You will move from site to site across a range of customer types. The work involves servicing washroom hygiene products and may involve physical effort, so a good level of fitness is important.

End of day: You will return to the depot to unload, restock, and discuss the day with your manager before setting up for the next shift.

Requirements

• A current Australian driver’s licence.
• Comfort using a mobile app or tablet for work-related tasks.
• Experience in cleaning or a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, reference checks, and police checks.
