Role Summary

The HSE Officer will be based in Abu Dhabi and will help maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. The role requires ADOSH/OSHAD certification and a strong working knowledge of UAE safety regulations. The selected candidate will plan, implement, and oversee health, safety, and environmental measures in line with legal requirements and internal standards.

Key Duties

• Carry out site inspections and hazard reviews to spot potential risks and areas of non-compliance.
• Create, update, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with ADOSH/OSHAD rules and UAE labor legislation.
• Look into incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, then document findings and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation for internal and regulatory use.
• Deliver safety inductions, awareness sessions, and ongoing training for employees at all levels.
• Conduct audits and follow-up inspections to verify that HSE standards and best practices are being met.
• Work with leaders and department heads to tailor safety initiatives and resolve workplace concerns.
• Track HSE indicators and performance trends to support continuous improvement.
• Oversee proper handling, storage, and maintenance of PPE and other safety equipment.
• Coordinate with regulators and external consultants to support full compliance.
• Encourage a proactive safety mindset through engagement and behavioral safety initiatives.

Required Profile

• Must hold a valid ADOSH/OSHAD certification.
• Should have 2 to 5 years of professional HSE experience in a corporate or industrial setting.
• Needs strong understanding of UAE labor law, ADOSH requirements, and broader HSE standards.
• Must be skilled in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
• Should have strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and close attention to detail.
• Experience with HSE documentation, record management, and reporting is essential.
• Should be able to communicate clearly and deliver training to varied audiences.
• Must have experience with workplace inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
• Should be comfortable using HSE software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Needs the ability to organize tasks and manage priorities in a busy environment.

Preferred Experience

• Extra certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 are an advantage.
• Background in construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, or other industrial sectors is preferred.
• Knowledge of international HSE standards and practical best practices will be beneficial.
• Experience creating and delivering customized safety training is desirable.
• Familiarity with behavioral safety and safety culture programs is a plus.
