This remote contract opportunity is for an HR Onboarding Coordinator who will oversee the pre-employment process from the moment a candidate verbally accepts an offer until their first day on the job. Core Duties

  • Oversee the onboarding process from verbal offer acceptance through the employee’s start date.
  • Create, send, and monitor offer letters and onboarding paperwork.
  • Support candidates as they complete employment applications and required onboarding steps.
  • Make sure onboarding tasks are finished correctly and within the required timeframes.
  • Help create a smooth and positive first experience for new hires.
  • Coordinate background screening, employment verification, drug testing, and reference checks.
  • Handle additional pre-hire checks such as fingerprinting, healthcare sanction review, license validation, and registry searches.
  • Evaluate screening results according to company policy, federal and state rules, and FCRA requirements.
  • Work with recruiters and HR partners to resolve compliance concerns and identify next actions.
  • Keep compliance records complete, accurate, and ready for audit review.
  • Complete onboarding tasks in Workday and other HR systems.
  • Maintain employee files and onboarding records.
  • Support Form I-9 processing and E-Verify compliance.
  • Coordinate tracking and documentation for sign-on bonuses.
  • Ensure all pre-employment documents are properly completed and stored.
  • Act as the main contact for questions from new hires during onboarding.
  • Assist recruiters, hiring managers, and HR teams with onboarding and compliance-related issues.
  • Provide professional, confidential, and service-oriented support.
  • Take part in process improvement work and other assigned projects.

Required Qualifications
