Frontend Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Role Overview

This role is for a Frontend Software Engineer focused on building internal project management platforms that support infrastructure projects and operational teams. Based in Fremont, CA, the position partners closely with development and validation groups to create fast, intuitive web tools used by the Construction organization for project accounting, labor tracking, financial reporting, and analytics. The role is also expected to push product quality forward and contribute to a strong culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance frontend applications that support different project-management and operations workflows, starting from solid technical fundamentals.
• Develop a deep understanding of business needs, user behavior, and workflow requirements so the tools deliver strong value to the company.
• Deliver responsive customer support for internal users and help increase trust, reliability, and satisfaction with the applications.
• Find opportunities to simplify work, improve efficiency, and automate repetitive business processes.
• Evaluate company-wide applications and data tools, then provide practical and constructive feedback to improve them.
• Assess end-to-end processes and internal deployment workflows, identify better ways of working, and communicate measurable business impact.
• Spot additional opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration across software and data-focused teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of experience developing frontend web applications with scalable architecture and API integration using REST or GraphQL.
• Strong command of TypeScript, including types, interfaces, generics, and advanced language features.
• Hands-on experience with React, including Hooks, component design patterns, state management with Redux or Context, React Router, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Cypress for end-to-end and component testing, API mocking, and CI/CD workflows.
• Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), including async/await and promises.
• Practical understanding of HTML and CSS, including semantic markup, Flexbox/Grid, responsive design, and CSS-in-JS or preprocessors.
• Familiarity with ESLint, Prettier, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization such as Core Web Vitals and lazy loading.
• Exposure to animation libraries, monorepo tools such as Nx or Turborepo, and basic Node.js backend concepts.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range is $120,000 to $210,000, with additional cash and stock awards plus benefits. Final pay may differ based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The complete details of benefit participation are shared when an offer is extended.
