Front Desk Agent

Position summary

This role is the welcoming face of the property, serving as the initial contact for guests and helping create a smooth, positive stay from arrival to departure. The position calls for professional service, quick problem-solving, and a guest-first mindset.

Core duties

• Receive guests courteously and manage arrival and departure procedures in a polished, professional manner.
• Handle booking tasks, room allocation, and guest communication through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Take payments, confirm guest identity details, and keep all records accurate and up to date.
• Respond to guest issues with patience and practical solutions, escalating matters when needed.
• Work with housekeeping and maintenance teams to make sure rooms are ready for occupancy.
• Highlight hotel facilities and nearby attractions, and suggest additional services where suitable.
• Keep the front desk area neat, orderly, and secure at all times.

Candidate profile

The ideal person brings prior experience in front desk work or customer service, ideally within hospitality. Strong verbal and written communication, composure under pressure, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy setting are important. Experience with hotel software, especially StayNTouch, is an added advantage. You should also be willing to cover early shifts, late shifts, weekends, and holidays if required, and enjoy working as part of a team while delivering excellent guest service.

Compensation and benefits

The role is paid at $18 per hour and wages are issued weekly.
