Financial Data Analyst

Role Overview

A global media company is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to support a fully onsite team in Midtown Manhattan, New York. The ideal candidate will be strong in analysis, communicate clearly, and perform well in a busy, high-output environment.

Important Hiring Conditions

• This is a W2 contract assignment lasting approximately 4 to 5 months.
• The compensation is $48 to $52 per hour on a W2 basis.
• Only candidates who can work onsite full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a 1-hour unpaid lunch, will be considered.
• C2C arrangements are not accepted.
• Subcontracted candidates and applicants who need immediate sponsorship cannot be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and map data for a major ERP migration initiative.
• Work closely with development and integration teams on the planning and rollout of the new ERP platform.
• Support the movement of data from Oracle into the new ERP environment.
• Contribute to monthly forecasting, variance review, and budget planning activities.
• Create, update, and maintain financial models.

Required Background

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related business field is mandatory.
• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in financial data analysis, including data validation, data mapping, and working with large data sets.
• At least 1 to 3 years of FP&A experience covering budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
• Experience in entertainment, media, or broadcasting is advantageous.
• Strong Excel ability is essential, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
• Exposure to Oracle Financials and Cognos TM1 is preferred.
