About the Role

The Sheraton Athlone Hotel is looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join its culinary team in Athlone, County Westmeath. This position sits at the centre of a busy kitchen operation and plays an important part in maintaining high standards across all back-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a spotless and orderly kitchen environment, including the main kitchen and connected work areas.
• Carry out thorough cleaning of floors, walls, and specialist kitchen equipment.
• Wash cooking tools, tins, trays, and other kitchen items, and make sure dishes are loaded into the dishwasher quickly and efficiently.
• Keep chefs and food and beverage outlets supplied with clean crockery and cutlery at all times.
• Work cooperatively in a busy, team-oriented setting.

Ideal Candidate

The right applicant will bring previous hotel-based experience, ideally in a Kitchen Porter or Cleaner role. The job suits someone who is comfortable with physically demanding work and is willing to work flexible shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Strong English communication skills are also important.
