Environmental Technician II

Role overview

Clean Harbors is seeking an entry-level full-time laborer to join its Burlington, Ontario team. In this role, you will support industrial cleaning work at refineries, chemical plants, and manufacturing facilities while helping maintain a strong safety-first culture.

What the job involves

• Put health and safety first by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Support operators in running all units safely.
• Make sure the unit is positioned securely, stably, and safely at the worksite.
• Complete daily paperwork and job documentation.
• Handle rigging tasks for equipment installation and removal.
• Carry out general cleanup and maintenance of units when work is finished.
• Deliver strong customer service to both internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications

• Prior manual labor experience is required; industrial or construction experience is a strong advantage.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• You must be able to travel about 15% of the year, including assignments lasting 5 to 10 days at a time for project work.
• Availability for on-call emergency response work is required as needed.
• You should be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.
