About the Role

Cvent is hiring a senior leader to oversee procurement and India operations across its office network. This role carries ownership of procurement, vendor oversight, real estate operations, and on-ground business support across India. It is a high-visibility position that works across strategic procurement, facilities, and operational effectiveness.

The role also acts as the single point of accountability for procurement activity in India, supports the India Operations team in a maker/checker capacity, extends support to North America procurement through research and backend assistance, and manages a small team of Executive Assistants who support North America leaders with administration and expense-related work.

Real Estate and Facilities

  • Lead office infrastructure initiatives from start to finish, including buildouts, fit-outs, and relocations in Gurugram, Bangalore, Jaipur, and other APAC and IMEA locations.
  • Plan space utilization and seat capacity so office footprint grows in step with headcount and business demand.
  • Handle discussions with landlords, property consultants, and design/build partners, including lease negotiations and renewal terms.
  • Coordinate major infrastructure programs internally by aligning IT, HR, administration, and finance workstreams.

Procurement and Vendor Management

  • Manage the full procurement process for India office vendors covering transport, cafeteria and catering, swag and branded merchandise, IT equipment and assets, furniture, insurance, and facility management.
  • Run RFPs, compare proposals, lead commercial discussions, and finalize contracts that balance value, quality, and compliance.
  • Track vendor scorecards, carry out regular reviews, and manage renewals, pricing changes, and service-level commitments proactively.
  • Oversee purchase requisitions and approvals in Coupa or a similar P2P platform while ensuring policy compliance and timely turnaround.
  • Create and maintain a preferred vendor base for recurring spend categories to improve cost efficiency and standardization across India offices.
  • Support procurement needs for team events, department offsites, and employee engagement programs across India.
  • Work with the Event Planning team on companywide India events such as LDO, CAKO, and leadership offsites, covering venue selection, vendor management, logistics, and budget control.

North America Procurement Support

  • Act as the India-based contact for the North America Procurement team by providing data, reports, research support, and contract assistance.
  • Support vendor due diligence, market benchmarking, and spend analysis that require India resources or coverage across time zones.
  • Coordinate with global finance and procurement systems, including Coupa, to keep data accurate and reporting aligned.

Operations Governance and Liaison

  • Partner with the India Operations team as a maker/checker by reviewing outputs, tracking operational KPIs, and ensuring service standards are met efficiently.
  • Work with the India Operations Director to identify process gaps, improve workflows continuously, and drive corrective actions where necessary.
  • Monitor IT hardware procurement cycles such as laptops, peripherals, and storage in coordination with the IT team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Support compliance-related initiatives in India, including coordination with HR and Legal on labour law implementation, SEZ compliance, and GST vendor documentation.

Team Leadership: Executive Assistants, Warehousing, and Order Management

  • Act as the host manager for the India Executive Assistant, Warehousing, and Order Management teams, providing local supervisory leadership for employees whose functional managers are in North America.
  • Manage local administrative responsibilities in Workday, including PTO, timekeeping, PIPO compliance, shift changes, and appraisal submissions, while staying aligned with North America leaders on MBOs, compensation, and performance.
  • Share timely behavioral feedback with functional managers and serve as the escalation point for India-specific logistics such as cab issues, ID and access cards, equipment, and infrastructure in coordination with Business Operations and IT.
  • Ensure hosted employees are included in office activities, team events, and company communications, and maintain regular communication with North America leaders on priorities and team direction.

Applicants should bring at least 15 years of progressive experience in procurement, operations, or facilities management, including a minimum of 3 years in a Director-level or equivalent senior leadership position.
