Role Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance as an essential job function.
• Promptly detect, triage, and escalate cyber threats to appropriate channels.
• Escalate any failures in cyber threat detection tools without delay.
• Adhere strictly to Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) analyst runbooks.
• Compile CSOC metrics and trend reports including assessments on security monitoring systems' operational health.
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and follow up with relevant stakeholders to resolve cyber security cases.
• Engage in investigations of security breaches and violations to identify root causes.
• Stay informed about current vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques to support cyber security operations effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
• Participate in a weekend shift rotation schedule.
• Continuously monitor and review alerts from cyber security tools to identify incidents.
• Initiate initial response and containment actions as necessary for detected incidents.
• Monitor and raise alerts on potential threats sourced from external cyber threat intelligence.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a full-time matriculated student.
• The internship should contribute toward fulfilling academic graduation requirements.
• No prior experience is required since training will be provided.
• Possess a positive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
• Adapt well to fast-paced and dynamic work environments.
• Adjust priorities quickly based on changing circumstances while meeting deadlines.
• Foster cooperative relationships with team members, management, external contacts, guests, and the public.
• Remain composed under pressure and consistently meet deadlines involving internal and external stakeholders.
