Role Overview
The Business Analyst will contribute to enterprise digital transformation initiatives by bringing business insight to Salesforce implementation and expansion work, including Data Cloud, CRM, and cross-cloud projects. This role sits within the services delivery team and acts as a voice for the client, helping keep projects aligned to strategic goals and measurable results.
The person in this position will own the discovery and documentation of business needs, translate those needs into structured requirements, and support solution planning with technical teams. The role also includes shaping user stories, facilitating feedback discussions, and preparing clear documentation for development and delivery teams. Success in this role requires a consultative mindset and the ability to connect business strategy with technology execution.
Responsibilities
- Run business process discovery meetings and capture detailed requirements, user stories, success measures, and acceptance criteria.
- Build strong ROI business cases for customers, along with KPIs and tracking methods to measure impact throughout the project.
- Partner with the technical team to make sure solutions are designed with the final business outcome in mind.
- Develop process maps and workflow diagrams to represent current and future-state operations.
- Track and document project outcomes against the KPIs agreed during discovery.
- Maintain project documentation such as user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with technical managers, architects, and other stakeholders to collect and validate requirements.
- Refine and prepare user stories for development readiness.
- Support user acceptance testing, training, and rollout activities to help ensure a smooth launch and strong user adoption.
- Keep current with the latest Salesforce platform capabilities and updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant hands-on experience in a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in a technical consulting environment.
- Background in Agile delivery methods.
- Experience gathering requirements and expanding user stories for large enterprise migrations into Salesforce.
- Experience designing functional solutions for custom business applications on the Salesforce platform.
- Practical Salesforce experience, particularly with CRM and Data Cloud.
- Salesforce certifications are preferred, especially Business Analyst, Data Cloud Consultant, and CRM Administrator credentials.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business judgment.
- Solid technical understanding of Salesforce clouds and platform capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, deadline-driven, collaborative environment.
- Comfort handling ambiguity and complex problem-solving.
- Availability to work during standard US business hours.
