The Assistant Support Worker role is based in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, with pay aligned to the company scale.

Role purpose
This position is focused on delivering person-centred care and practical support to service users. The successful candidate will be helped to build skills and confidence while contributing to a respectful, professional team environment. The aim of the role is to assist people in reaching greater independence, developing their potential, and living meaningful lives in their communities.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Help individuals plan and organise their everyday activities and routines.
- Support people to take part in community-based activities and access local services.
- Assist with education, personal development, and progress toward individual goals.
- Promote independent living by helping with cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointments, and maintaining family and social relationships.
- Follow company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice as far as reasonably practicable.
- Work flexible shifts within a 24-hour, 7-day service model to meet service needs.
- Carry out other duties that are appropriate to the post, as the job description is not exhaustive.
